Coed Varsity Track · Two SFHS school records smashed at BYU Invite

 Spanish Fork Track Team results for the BYU Invitiational last week.
Wyatt Evans broke the school records which Heston Andersen set last year in the boys 1600 and 3200 meter races at the BYU Invite.

He ran 4:13.83 in the 1600 meters and took 3rd place amongst all participants from Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.  This broke the previous school record by more than four seconds.
Wyatt finished the 3200 meter race in 9:18.86.  This breaks the previous school record by nearly 9 seconds.  Wyatt is just a junior and will certainly drop these marks even lower before he finishes out his high school years.
The boys team finished 7th place overall out of 60 schools.  Ethan MacKay won the pole vault.  Josh Trafny took 3rd place in the javelin.  Junior Iketau finished 7th in the shot put and Dallas Eyere finished in 8th place to earn points for the team.
On the girls side Kimball Clements and Natalie Pendleton both made the finals in their events to score points for the team.
The track team is at Orem High School on Wednesday and Thursday May 9th and 10th for the region X Championships.
