Dons News · Cross Country performs well at Timpanogos Invite

While most high school students were still asleep this past Saturday the cross country teams were catching a bus to go to our meet in Orem.  Our athletes joined over 1500 runners from over 50 schools in competing at the Timpanogos Invite.

Our boys cross country team finished in 3rd place out of 15 teams in the Varsity Boys Race. Ty Reese once again led the boys team by finishing in 2nd place individually. Ryan Cobb, Andrew Folsom, Ammon Beck, Ian Fulwider and Spencer Larsen also competed for the varsity team.

The girls team finished in 4th place out of 14 teams, but were only 4 points out of 2nd place which would have earned them a trophy. Sarah Seeley has placed first for the girls team in every race this season and finished in 9th place overall.  All five scoring runners finished in the top 30 runners in the race.  Lexi Gladding, Bayleigh Redd, Sophia Riding, Camryn Marshall, Emma Fox and Vasiti Vuniwai also ran varsity for the girls team.

The JV boys and girls teams competed extremely well with most kids getting PRs in their 3 mile races.

We travel to Heber City this saturday for a meet at Soldier Hollow.
